Our Dear Friends, Two Little Ukrainian Boys – home at last Here is a tragic story of two little boys found, some years ago, in devastating circumstances in terrible conditions in Ukraine. Little 3-year-old, Sasha lost his parents in a car accident and was placed by the authorities in our Homeless Kids Centre. Thank you so much for your wonderful support and help. We appreciate your kindness and generosity immensely. As you know for the past 4 years – two years of Covid and the two years of the war with Russia, we've needed to buy food from other nations and bring it into Ukraine to feed the needy in the Odessa province and in bombed sectors of Eastern Ukraine where we have access. Our drivers have a well-worn driving plan when evacuating adults and children from Ukraine. Our small 10-seater vans take them on the forest roads to the Moldova border [...]

I can’t help thinking and grieving with the Ukrainian parents whose children were kidnapped from summer camps more than two Christmases ago by Putin’s forces, and those children who are missing their parents. At the end of 2022, the European Children’s Ombudsman, Maria Lvova-Belova, stated that 380 children taken from the territories of Ukraine were placed in Russian families.
