The War Rages on in Ukraine

April 2nd, 2025|

We trust that you are well and being kept by God’s great power. We want to thank you for your wonderful support and prayers for the orphans and homeless people in Ukraine. While we have been evacuating children and people out of Ukraine to safety in Germany and Norway, there are many more in the villages around the House of Hope who do not want to or cannot leave Ukraine We are continuing to support the most marginalised members of the community in the House of Hope – poor, single-mother families with small children, the sickly, and the [...]

Disrupted Christmas at a Bomb Shelter

January 27th, 2025|

We trust you had a very blessed Christmas and that 2025 will be the most fruitful year you’ve ever had with Jesus. Thank you for your very kind gifts to meet the needs of the orphans and needy homeless people in Ukraine at this time, while the war goes on and the missiles fall in the southern regions. In early January, one of our leaders, and her husband (dressed as Santa Claus) was conducting a small Christmas outreach for the orphans in one of the Odessa villages when the area came under bomb attack. As the bomb sirens [...]

Our Dear Friends, We thank you so much for your friendship and partnership in the gospel. Bless you for your very kind help and support for the vulnerable, needy children of Ukraine. Those of you who receive my printed news letter may remember the young couple, that I mentioned in our last newsletter – she fled Ukraine into Poland. The husband managed to escape and [...]

God Hears the Cries of the Children

September 18th, 2024|

Our Dear Friends, Two Little Ukrainian Boys – home at last Here is a tragic story of two little boys found, some years ago, in devastating circumstances in terrible conditions in Ukraine. Little 3-year-old, Sasha lost his parents in a car accident and was placed by the authorities in our Homeless Kids Centre. He just sat all day and cried, thinking his parents were coming to fetch him. He couldn’t conceive that they had died. At least he received love, care and warmth in the Centre. He was told the wonderful gospel story, and we were trusting that he [...]

Ukraine – the increasing needs for the refugees

February 22nd, 2024|

Thank you so much for your wonderful support and help. We appreciate your kindness and generosity immensely. As you know for the past 4 years – two years of Covid and the two years of the war with Russia, we've needed to buy food from other nations and bring it into Ukraine to feed the needy in the Odessa province and in bombed sectors of Eastern Ukraine where we have access. Our drivers have a well-worn driving plan when evacuating adults and children from Ukraine. Our small 10-seater vans take them on the forest roads to the Moldova border [...]

Another Christmas without their Kidnapped Children

December 20th, 2023|

I can’t help thinking and grieving with the Ukrainian parents whose children were kidnapped from summer camps more than two Christmases ago by Putin’s forces, and those children who are missing their parents. At the end of 2022, the European Children’s Ombudsman, Maria Lvova-Belova, stated that 380 children taken from the territories of Ukraine were placed in Russian families. However, Russian authorities placed more than a thousand children from Ukraine under “preliminary care”. Russia has not attempted to hide the number of children they have stolen. They are boasting of mass deportations of Ukrainian children. The head of Russia’s [...]

Update on the refugees and the Ukraine

November 29th, 2023|

Our Dear Friends, We thank you so much for your wonderful friendship and partnership in the gospel. Bless you for your very kind help and support for the crushed and needy children of Ukraine. We do appreciate your faithfulness. We’ve been able to keep our focus on the needs of people that are growing worse in the horrific war situation in Ukraine. Russia (and China) and the Wars in Ukraine and Israel Rebekah Koffler, a former US Department of Defence intelligence officer and Russia expert, has said she has solid evidence of Moscow officials being involved in Hamas’ terrorist [...]

The Rescuing Increases – in Odesa

August 21st, 2023|

Odesa has been badly hit over recent days. The Orthodox Cathedral in Odesa has been destroyed. We are asking, why target a Cathedral, when Putin and his thugs make all the pretense's of attending services at a Russian Orthodox Cathedral in Moscow. Maybe it’s because Putin lost the support of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church when his Russian Rebel Army attacked Eastern Ukraine in 2014-2016, and they severed ties with the Russian Orthodox Church. You see, if Putin can control the Church, as he does in Russia, he can control the people, who revere and fear the church. A Jewish [...]
