I had an amazing Sunday in early May ministering at St Luke’s Lighthouse Anglican Church, in Hawkinge near Dover, Kent where the worship was beautiful. The first service was more traditional and saw many older people recommit their lives to Jesus. The second was a family service in which four people gave their lives to Jesus.
From the UK I flew to Massachusetts to visit some dear older friends in Hingham Massachusetts – Ron and Terri Golding. I had a wonderful few days of fellowship before travel-ling to Cape Cod to share with a group of precious people at a Home Group Meeting at John and Linda Andrewski’s home in Mashpee. It was great to help and encourage these wonderful people to keep bringing others to Jesus and meet their needs. What sweet fellowship I have with them each time I’m with them.
After that I flew to Florida where it was a joy to preach at the River of Life Church in Merritt Island, with Pastor Mark Berney. Many were encouraged by the message that “It’s never too late to obey God and fulfil his destiny for our lives”. At the same time, I caught up with many longstanding friends and colleagues.
When I arrived at Bloomington, Illinois I enjoyed meeting with friends and colleagues at a great supper meeting at the home of my hosts, Steve and Janet Eddington. It was great to catch up with these sharp, astute followers of Jesus and share our vision for the orphans of Eastern Europe.
On the Sunday morning, I drove the 2 hours to minister with Pastors Don and Chris Prouty, to the sweet people at the Latter Rain Fellowship in Danville Illinois. What an excellent time of worship and ministry, encouraging these people of faith.
On the Monday night, it was a privilege to share at a wonderful Dinner Fellowship Meeting in St Joseph Illinois hosted by Ken and Pam Cooley. These warriors in the faith thrive on challenges from God’s word.
The Abundant Life in Christ Church in Bloomington under the leadership of Pastor Charles Ahrens, ministers to and cares for the homeless and destitute of the area. It was a privilege to encourage these precious people to rise up to their full potential and use their gifts to help others.
I then flew to Memphis, Tennessee to link up with my dear friends, Ned & Kim LaWarre, with whom I had sweet fellowship. I was also very privileged to minister at the Church of the Harvest, in Olive Branch MS with Pastor Bob Thomas and his son, Rob Thomas and their delightful families. On the Saturday morning, a very enthusiastic crowd gathered for my evangelism training seminars to learn how to be more effective in personal outreach to their community. The Sunday morning and evening services were immensely prophetic in meeting people’s needs and encouraging young and older alike in their daily witness for Christ.
A good friend and colleague in ministry, Frank Webb, a retired lawyer, who is coming to Latvia and Ukraine in the future, drove up from Columbus MS and met me at Tupelo MS, which I found was the birthplace of Elvis Presley.
This time in the USA was very fruitful and saw believers motivated to fulfil their callings and destinies as well as non-believers committing their lives to Jesus. The Kingdom of God grew in many strategic areas.
