I had a really fruitful and enjoyable time of ministry in the USA in May. The first port of call was Memphis, Tennessee where I caught up with good friends, one of whom, Ned LaWarre, arranged for me to minister to the executive team of the company where he worked. It was tremendous ministering to this team of Christian men and encouraging them in their ministry to the community through their business. A good friend, Frank Webb, drove all the way from Columbus, Mississippi to Memphis to see me.
The first Sunday ministry in a wonderful House Church in LeRoy, Illinois was immensely fruitful, especially with the adults and youngsters, really hungry to serve God.
On the Monday evening it was a joy to share at a Business Supper Meeting arranged by Ken and Pam Cooley in Ogden IL. A good crowd of leaders and young men and women turned up to receive a challenge from God’s word about being God’s bright lights in the dark world. It was great to meet with some of the key men at a business lunch the next day.
Later in the week it was wonderful to join a family gathering in Bloomington at the home of my hosts Steve and Jan Eddington. It was precious to share with this gracious family over a Father’s Day meal table.
The next Sunday saw God’s gracious presence released in a wonderful service at the Latter Rain Fellowship, with pastors Don and Chris Prouty, Danville IL.
I then flew to Massachusetts to visit some dear older friends in Hingham Massachusetts – Ron and Terri Golding, and their son John, with whom I had a wonderful few days of fellowship. I drove to Cape Cod to share with a group of precious people at a Home Group Meeting at John and Linda Andrewski’s home in Mashpee. It was great to encourage these wonderful people to share the gospel and keep bringing others to Jesus. What sweet fellowship I have with them each time I’m with them.
After that I flew to Florida where it was a joy to preach at the River of Life Church in Merritt Island. At the same time, I caught up with many longstanding friends and colleagues, especially a family that had moved from New Jersey to Florida. Their young boys have been wonderful supporters of the orphans Eastern Europe by giving from their pocket money to meet the orphans spiritual and educational needs.
