The seed of Smethurst Ministries was planted in 1972
when God called David Smethurst and his wife Margurita
into ministry. This calling has taken them into churches,
schools, youth groups, colleges, convents, military bases,
prisons etc across the world including Africa, Australia,
USA, Britain,  Ireland, Latvia and other ex Soviet countries,
Yugoslavia, Singapore, Malaysia, Iceland ...
1988 saw the establishment of the Smethurst Ministries
in Australia. From preaching in Lutheran Churches in
Australia God gave the ministry favour with the Lutheran
Arch Bishop of Eastern Europe resulting in teams ministering
in Latvia and other ex Soviet countries in churches,
schools and orphanages
Smethurst Ministries (an interdenominational ministry)
has a multipurpose in helping Christians to be more
vibrant witnesses for Christ. We minister into areas
of need with seminars such as: "Healing the Home" (building
bridges to effect healing in the family and also to bring
unbelieving relatives to Jesus); "Marriage at its
